Privacy Policy

We keep this simple because our data practice is simple: we process what is needed to run a music licensing shop and artist platform — and nothing beyond that. This page explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the rights you have. Last updated: September 2026.

  1. 01. Who we are

Yummy Sounds is a curated music licensing platform operated from Germany. You can reach us at any time through the contact form on this website or by email at mail@yummy-sounds.com.

  2. 02. What we collect, and why

Account: when you register, we store your email address, name and password (encrypted) so you can sign in, keep a library of your orders and manage your preferences.

Artist accounts: artists additionally provide payout and rights information (such as PRO affiliation and writer details) and upload audio files, artwork and metadata so we can represent and license their work.

Orders and licences: when you buy a licence, we process the contents of your order, the licence tier, your billing address and, optionally, your company name and VAT ID. We need these to issue your invoice and licence certificate and to fulfil tax and accounting obligations.

Payment: payment is processed by our payment service provider. We never see or store your full card details; we receive a payment confirmation, the amount and the billing address.

Support and contact: when you contact us through the contact form, we process your name, email address and message to answer your request.

  3. 03. File storage and delivery

Purchased audio files, invoices and licence certificates are stored in our cloud storage and delivered to you through signed download links. Access is tied to your account or to the single-use links sent with your order confirmation.

  4. 04. Email

We send transactional emails required to run the service: order confirmations and download links, payment failure notices, account and security messages, and replies to your requests. Marketing emails are only sent where we are permitted to do so, and you can opt out at any time.

  5. 05. What is stored in your browser

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The site stores only what it needs to function: your sign-in session, your shopping cart, your player state, and — if you arrived through a partner's recommendation link — a short-lived referral marker so the partner can be credited if you buy. The referral marker expires automatically after a limited period.

We also measure page loading times anonymously (without any identifier that could be linked to you) to keep the site fast. Because everything stored is strictly necessary for the service or fully anonymous, no cookie consent banner is required. If we ever add optional analytics or marketing tools, we will ask for your consent first.

  6. 06. Who processes data on our behalf

We use carefully selected service providers for hosting and databases, file storage, payment processing and email delivery. They process data only on our instructions and under appropriate safeguards. Where data is processed outside the EU, this happens under the safeguards required by the GDPR.

  7. 07. How long we keep data

Order, invoice and licence records are kept for the periods required by tax and commercial law. Account data is kept while your account exists. Support correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle your request. Data that is no longer needed is deleted.

  8. 08. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the contact form or at mail@yummy-sounds.com — we respond without undue delay.

  9. 09. Security and data breaches

We protect personal data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted transport and access controls. If a breach affects your data, we will notify you and the competent authorities as required by law.

  10. 10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the service or the law changes. The current version is always available on this page.
